Curadi and Root take command of 18U bench for second season

Guilford, Conn., - The Elite Hockey Program is pleased to announce that Luke Curadi will be Head Coach for the 18U team in the 2018-19 season. Curadi will lead the 18U Full season team with Austin Root as the two will enter their second season together with EHP’s highest level team.
A native of Cheshire, CT, Luke has been a valued member of the Elite Hockey staff since summer of 2016. In addition to also being 15U Associate Head Coach, Curadi serves as Director of Player Personnel for the Elite Hockey Program, identifying and evaluating prospective players for EHP. Curadi is currently the New England Scout for the Green Bay Gamblers (USHL) and Philadelphia Rebels (NAHL). Curadi, a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), had a strong career with time spent in the ECHL, NCAA D1 and USHL. In his first season as a Head Coach, Luke has helped several current EHP 18U players to secure tenders/affiliations at the Jr. A level and will have many others moved on by next year.
Entering his second season with the Elite Hockey Program, Austin Root has helped develop and advance players at the midget level for several years. In addition to coaching 18U, he will also serve as Associate Director of Recruiting, Marketing and Player Development. Austin is currently on the staff of NAHL Central Scouting. Along with Coach Curadi, Root also runs the organizations’ summer team Elite Hockey Battalion. Prior to coaching, Root was a four year letter winner with the SUNY-Canton Kangaroos (NCAA D3), including being named an assistant captain his junior and senior seasons. Upon graduation, Austin earned a degree in sports management.

"They put a heavy emphasis on discipline and habits as they know those are two of the biggest factors in what it takes to play at the junior and college level. Additionally, they work very hard for their players, using their connections and always making calls in order to advance their players to quality Junior programs.”

Elite Hockey Program Announces 16U Coaching Staff for 2018-19
Alden and Crandall will lead the 16U EHP with high expectations

Guilford, Conn., - The Elite Hockey Program is proud to announce Peter Alden to lead the16U Elite Hockey Program in 2018-19 season. Alden, who brings a wealth of experience as a coach, will look to lead a strong group at the midget AAA level. Alden will be accompanied by David Crandall who is currently the 15U Associate Head Coach and Director of Player Development for EHP.
Alden, who played junior hockey in the NAHL and Division 1 college hockey at UMass Amherst (Hockey East) and Quinnipiac University (ECAC), has developed and guided many players to play junior, prep, college and professional hockey. Alden, who has 10 years experience, spent four years coaching as an assistant at Choate Rosemary Hall, Program Director of the Connecticut Wolf Pack and then transitioned to lead as President and General Manager of the Elite Hockey Program in 2016. During Alden’s coaching career, he has reached the Tier 1 USA National Championships three times, including a 2015 18U Tier 1 National Championship, coached three NHL draft picks, over 30 D-1 hockey players and has helped over 100 kids move on to contribute at the junior and college levels. Alden currently resides in Connecticut and is married with four children.
David Crandall, who returns to EHP for a second season in 2018-19, brings an extensive coaching and evaluating background. Crandall has spent the past 17 years coaching Tier 1 midgets, most recently at New Jersey power house, the Delbarton School. Crandall has also coached teams that have won the Labor Day Tier 1 Face Off and more notable accomplishments that include an Atlantic District Championship, two Atlantic Youth Hockey League (AYHL) Championships, an International Silver Sticks Regional Championship and an International Silver Sticks Regional Finalist. His coaching experience also includes participating for several years in both USA Hockey’s Player Development camps and the Atlantic District Player Development program where he participated as an evaluator, coach and team leader. Additionally, David is currently a Regional Scout for the Youngstown Phantoms (USHL).

Next season, we will take another big step, as we will return a strong core group and will add more likeminded players that are committed to building a positive, strong team dynamic. Elite Hockey Program announces 15U Coaching Staff for 2018-19
Gintoli and Curadi are proven hockey minds and leaders
Guilford, Conn.-- Elite Hockey Program would like to announce Peter Gintoli as 15U Head Coach for the 2018-19 Season. This will be his second season on staff with EHP. Joining him on the bench will be Luke Curadi, current 18U Head Coach.
Currently an Assistant Coach with the 15U team, Gintoli brings a solid background as a player to the bench. Before playing a year of professional hockey with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs of the Southern Professional Hockey League, Peter was a 4 year letter winner and Graduate of Salve Regina University in Newport, Road Island. As a senior, he helped Salve Regina to a D-3 NCAA ECAC Northeast Championship in 2016. Prior to College, Peter spent two seasons with the Bay State Breakers in the Eastern Junior Hockey League. Before playing junior hockey, Peter attended near by Notre Dame Fairfield where he played 4 years Varsity for the Lancers.

GUILFORD, CT,. – The Elite Hockey Program is pleased to announce its acceptance into the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) for the 2017-18 season. as new full-time members for the 2017-18 season. The Elite Hockey Program will be joining the NAPHL in the 18U, 16U and 15U midget levels. Participation in the prestigious North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), will allow Elite Hockey Program teams to attend NAPHL showcase events and compete against highly renowned programs from across the country.
Celebrating its 8th season in 2016-17, the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) is made up of 44 teams from 22 programs that compete at the 18U, 16U and 15U USA Hockey Tier I level. The NAPHL has established itself as one of the premier grounds for development and exposure. The success of teams on the National stage, as well as, the success of NAPHL players at the next levels of hockey, is further proof that the NAPHL is redefining exposure and has elevated itself to one of the premier training grounds for development and opportunity.
“We are excited to have the Elite Hockey Program as full-time members in the NAPHL,” said NAPHL Director Tony Zasowski. “With teams at all three levels, they will add significantly to the depth and competition of the NAPHL. In addition, they come from a hockey-rich area that is full of talented players that will be the future of top-level junior and college hockey programs.”

Peter Alden is the Elite Hockey Program, General Manager and also the 15U National Head Coach. Alden is a native of Connecticut and grew up playing in the NAHL for the Springfield Blues and furthered his playing career at UMass-Amherst (Hockey-East) and Quinnipiac University (ECAC). This is his 10th season as a club president and won a Tier 1 18U USA National Championship in 2015 with the CT Wolf Pack.
Luke Curadi is the Program Director and 18U National head coach for the Elite Hockey Program. Curadi played in the USHL for the Dubuque Fighting Saints and then went on to play division one at RPI. Curadi also played a year professionally in the ECHL and now also serves a scout for the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL.
The Elite Hockey Program operates out of the Northford Ice Pavilion in Northford, CT. The Elite Hockey Program is located right outside of New Haven, CT, just a few miles away from NCAA division one powerhouses, Yale University and Quinnipiac University. The Northford Ice Pavilion is a three sheet facility, equipped with custom locker rooms for the Elite Hockey teams and 5,000 sq. ft. training facility for program’s strength and conditioning.
